Contract distilling questions
What is the minimum order for contract distilling?
For commercial production we recommend batches of 800 × 750ml bottles or more. Smaller trial batches (under 200 bottles) are available for recipe development and market testing.
Can you develop the recipe and brand for me?
Yes, we offer the entire journey: business consultation, recipe development in our own laboratory, trial batches, label and brand design support, production, bottling and labelling.
Which spirits can you produce?
Gin, vodka, rum, whisky, brandy/potstill, agave spirit (South African made), liqueurs (our specialty), ready-to-drink cocktails and cans, plus non-alcoholic recipes. Through our international partnerships we can source virtually any spirit, including tequila and aged whiskies (7-year-old South African stock available).
Do I need a licence to buy bulk spirits in South Africa?
Yes. You need a National Distribution license to buy and sell bulk alcohol in South Africa. Our team will guide you on compliance.
Where do you produce?
In our own distilleries in Cape Town (South Africa) and Vechta (Germany), with partner distilleries in Ireland, Scotland, England, Mexico and the USA, among others, for specialist styles.
